The Arnold Chamber of Commerce was formed when the city was faced with the imminent closing of its two major employers, Alcoa and American St. Globian.  A group of civic minded businessmen met and organized the Arnold Businessmen’s Association on October 8, 1964, to keep the City of Arnold a viable city.  With the same vision as our founders, the Arnold Chamber celebrates its 43rd anniversary.

Welcome to Arnold, PA

An area anyone would love to call home, take a look at Arnold and the Southwestern Pennsylvania region...

Located along the banks of the Allegheny River in southwestern Pennsylvania and in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Arnold is a family-oriented small town approximately 20 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.  In all areas of life and work, this location provides the best of small town living with a short drive to world class business, education, recreation, health & medical facilities.

Steeped in history dating back to the mid 1700’s, the City of Arnold was first settled in 1852 by Indian fighter Major Andrew Arnold.  With the founding of the Chambers Glass Company in 1891, the settlement thrived. The Borough of Arnold was incorporated in 1896.  Later the Aluminum Company of America, ALCOA, located in the area, and Arnold became world renowned for both aluminum and glass.  The Borough of Arnold became a third class city in 1939.

Today, small town shopping and restaurants are in abundance in Arnold and neighboring communities up and down the Allegheny River valley.  Large mall shopping with big national chain stores and restaurants are just minutes away at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall.
